It all started when Alice Benjamin was a small child visiting her parents' garment factory in Paris and later in Montreal. She would pick up scraps and remnants of beautiful fabrics from the floor, amusing herself by making her own little dolls out of them.

Alice's passion for fine fabric endures to this day. As a design consultant in her firm Alice Benjamin Interiors, she decorates many different spaces, always using stunning fabric to accent rooms with upholstered furniture, drapery, decorative pillows and more. Alice believes that when combined in harmony, fabrics, textures and colour give life to a space and can add comfort, visual stimulation and warmth to any room.

"I am very lucky to work in a field that I feel passionate about," explains Alice. "I have always enjoyed the art of gifting – the pleasure of finding and giving something that will be truly cherished. So Chic Gifts is a response to that desire to 'make it special every time.'"
